Estes Flats

Estes Flats located in Redfish Bay has some extreme shallows for some nice redfish year round. Best time to fish for speckled trout are between June through December. The seagrass is a great cover and habitat for these species.

There are some restrictions for boating this area to protect the seagrass. For more information on this visit Texas Parks and Wildlife.

You'll need a shallow running boat or kayak. Motor boats can drift and/or poll through by trimming their props out of water. Anchor & wade fishing is another option. Kayaks can also navigate through Estes Flates.
